Terms and Conditions of TransferSicilia.it
Please read this page carefully before making your purchase; if you have any questions regarding the terms and conditions, kindly contact our customer service department via the form provided.
- Booking mode:
1.1. Advance notice
Services must be booked 24 hours prior to holding. For bookings received without adequate notice Transfer Sicilia may not guarantee acceptance of services; however, Transfer Sicilia will attempt to make itself available for the holding
1.2. Acceptance of booking
When making a reservation, it is mandatory to provide the following information:
- Number of passengers and number of luggage (read carefully Point 6 Conditions for transportation);
- Date and time of appointment with client (time, origin and flight/ship/train number in case of airport/port/railway arrival transfer);
- Pick-up address and trip itinerary;
- Client’s last name and cell phone number;
Upon receipt of the booking confirmation, Transfer Sicilia will send the client a confirmation of the service takeover with the details of the driver’s name and cell phone, type of vehicle and meeting point.
The client is required to be accurate in the communication of data; Transfer Sicilia will not be responsible in any way in case of communication of incorrect data by the client; the data provided will be processed in accordance with current privacy legislation.
1.3. What is included in the reservation price:
- Chauffeur-driven car available;
- National highway tolls;
- Luggage loading in the car.
1.4. What is not included in the reservation price:
- Driver expenses (room and board) for services lasting more than 8 hours;
- ferry costs;
- city or foreign state entry fees and parking fees for parking;
- 10% VAT;
2. Cancellations and changes of booking, delays and no-shows:
2.1. Cancellations
Reservation cancellation without penalty is accepted with 24 hours notice from the appointment time.
Cancellations received with time less than 12 hours are charged a penalty with amount equal to 50% of the service amount.
Cancellations received in a shorter period of time and in case the customer does not show up or refuses the booked service are charged a penalty of 100% of the amount of the service.
The cancellation, in order to be accepted, must be submitted via email.
For customer cancellations, caused by unforeseen events due to reasons not under its control, Transfer Sicilia may charge no penalty (after receiving appropriate justifications). In this case, the cancellation is also accepted immediately through the telephone channel.
2.2.Changes
Any changes in the data submitted during booking will be accepted within 4 hours of the appointment time.
Beyond this deadline, in the event of a request for a change in the data transmitted at the time of booking (timing or itinerary of the service), the minimum amount owed by the client to Transfer Sicilia will still be the amount previously established at the time of booking.
The route to be taken by the vehicle, in order to perform the service, must be pre-established with the customer at the time of booking; any unforeseen route changes, implemented according to reasons not of an emergency or heavy traffic nature (technical problems with the vehicle, driver or passenger illnesses), will be subject to a surcharge fee proportional to the difference in mileage between the pre-established route and the route actually implemented.
2.3. Delays
For all services not subsequently specified (items 3-4-5 airport, port and rail transfers), a free waiting time for passengers of 15 minutes from the time of appointment is tolerated; beyond that time the customer is required to pay an additional sum stipulated in the company’s rate schedule, for each hour or fraction of 15 minutes of waiting time by the driver staff.
2.4 No-show (no show)
For all services not subsequently specified (items 3-4-5, airport transfers, port transfers, railway transfers), in case of passengers’ no-show within the time limit of 15 minutes from the appointment time and without any warning telephone communication (no show), the driver staff is allowed to leave the appointment place: the service will still be charged.

3.1 Standby
The client or passengers are required to give prompt telephone notification to Transfer Sicilia in case of unforeseen events, cancelled flights, or delays in the operations prior to boarding the plane; in case of delay of passengers compared to the pre-arranged appointment time at the airport meeting point, a free waiting time is still tolerated, by the driver staff, up to 60 minutes from the scheduled landing time; beyond this time is due by the client, the additional payment for the additional waiting time by the driver staff, according to the company’s tariff schedule.
N.B. The availability for the performance of the booked service, may not be guaranteed, exceeded the tolerance time regarding delays and without any warning, in which case the service will still be fully charged.
3.2 Meeting place
The default meeting place at the airport is the Meeting Point; any other meeting place must be communicated by the customer during booking.
The driver will wait for passengers by displaying a sign with their first name, last name and company logo.
After contact has been established, the driver will escort passengers to the vehicle parked in the spaces specially provided by the airport administration. Passengers are not allowed to be able to choose different place of boarding, due to compliance with legislation pertaining to airport traffic.
In the case of passengers arriving earlier at the appointment place than the prearranged time on the reservation, they are requested to wait for the arrival of the driver staff until the scheduled appointment time.
- Conditions for Arrival Transfers at Train Stations:
4.1 Standby
The client is obliged to give timely notice by telephone to Transfer Sicilia in case of unforeseen train departures or delays caused by any stops. In the case of delay of passengers from the scheduled appointment time at the station and without any
warning telephone communication, (however, free waiting of passengers, by the driver staff is tolerated up to 30 minutes from the scheduled time of arrival of the train), beyond that time an additional payment is due, for further waiting by the driver staff, according to the company’s fare schedule.
N.B. The availability for the performance of the booked service, may not be guaranteed, exceeded the tolerance time regarding delays and without any warning, in which case the service will still be fully charged.
4.2 Meeting place
The meeting place at the station will be determined in advance when booking. The driver will wait for the passengers by displaying a sign with their name, surname and company logo.
After contact is established, the driver will escort the passengers to the vehicle parked in the spaces specially provided by the Public Administration. Passengers are not allowed to choose a different place of boarding, due to compliance with legislation pertaining to road conditions.
In the case of early arrival of passengers at the appointment place, compared to the prearranged time on the reservation, they are requested to wait for the arrival of the driver staff until the scheduled appointment time.
- Terms for Arrival Transfers at Ports:
5.1 Standby
The client is obliged to give prompt telephone notice to Transfer Sicilia in case of unforeseen or delayed departure of the ship or delays caused by any stops or changes of destination; in case of delay of the client with respect to the predetermined appointment time at the port and without any warning telephone notice (however, free waiting of passengers, by the driver staff up to 30 minutes from the scheduled time of arrival of the ship is tolerated), beyond that time additional payment is due, for further waiting by the driver staff, according to the company’s tariff schedule.
N.B. The availability for the performance of the booked service, may not be guaranteed exceeded the tolerance time regarding delays and without any warning, in which case the service will still be fully charged.
5.2 Meeting place
The meeting place at the port will be determined in advance at the time of booking. The driver will wait for the passengers by displaying a sign with their name, surname and company logo.
After contact has been established, the driver will escort passengers to the vehicle parked in the spaces specially provided by the Public Administration.
Passengers are not allowed to choose a different place of boarding, due to compliance with legislation pertaining to road conditions.
In the case of early arrival of passengers at the appointment place, compared to the prearranged time on the reservation, they are requested to wait for the arrival of the driver staff until the scheduled appointment time.
- Transport conditions:
6.1. Luggage, pets, passengers with difficulties, minors:
Each passenger may carry up to one suitcase and one hand luggage; the amount of luggage exceeding the allowed amount must be declared at the time of booking in order to avoid that the assigned vehicle is not suitable for the service. Otherwise, Transfer Sicilia reserves the right to charge, when allowed by the vehicle’s capacity, an additional fee of €20 for each extra piece of luggage or to cancel the service by charging the full amount anyway.
All transported items travel under the responsibility of the owners; Transfer Sicilia will not be responsible for damage or loss of transported items.
Any transportation of pets must be communicated in advance at the time of booking and must be done through the appropriate containers.
Transportation of persons with disabilities, non-ambulatory and minors, must be compulsorily communicated at the time of booking in order to prepare the vehicle suitable for the specific transport according to the regulations in force (also in order to find any restraint seats).
All children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
Transfer Sicilia reserves the right to cancel the performance of the service and still charge the full amount if, when booking, such a request for transportation was not specified.
Behavior of passengers in the vehicle.
Users of the rental service are prohibited from:
- Smoking during transport;
- Drinking and carrying alcoholic beverages in the passenger compartment;
- Throwing objects from both stationary and moving vehicles;
- Soiling, defiling or damaging the vehicle; if damage to the vehicle is detected, compensation will be claimed from the transported user;
- Demand the transportation of pets without having taken, in agreement with Transfer Sicilia, all useful measures to prevent damage or soiling of the car;
- demand the stop of the vehicle not already provided in the booking phase; it is allowed to stop only for emergency reasons (illness or technical problems of the vehicle) any changes in route or any unscheduled stop compared to the itinerary established in the booking phase, will still be charged by Transfer Sicilia to the customer according to the company’s rate;
- Disturbing driver personnel while driving through rude-sounding discussions or violent attitudes.
Users of the rental service are required to:
- Comply with all legal regulatory provisions including municipal regulations.
The driver staff during the transportation has the power to interrupt the service or change the route if the passengers do not comply with the previous conditions of transportation on board.
- Tour:
Not included in price:
- Museum entrance fees, food, wine tasting and other personal expenses and tips. Your driver, who is not a tour guide, may provide comments and explanations during the trip but is not allowed to do so outside the car. If you would like someone to join you while you visit the sites or provide explanations or historical references, private tour guides are available for an additional fee. Your driver will be happy to give you any possible suggestions on the best places to eat and other general directions.
- Tipping: consider tipping your driver, which is the proper way to show your appreciation.
- Transfer Sicilia is not responsible for items forgotten on board vehicles.
- Miscellaneous:
In the event of unforeseen route contingencies due to adverse road, weather or traffic conditions (demonstrations, strikes, vandalism, terrorism, police checks, fires, floods) or due to technical failures of the vehicle or driver illness, Transfer Sicilia is not responsible for delays or disruptions in service and does not guarantee the possibility of traveling on the vehicle chosen at the time of booking, if any. In such a case, however, an attempt will be made to complete the performance of the service by alternative means (cab, car, hired bus with or without driver etc. etc.).
It is the client’s obligation to report to Transfer Sicilia, as soon as possible, any problems derived from inefficiencies or failures directly attributable to our work.
Any dispute or controversy, regarding the activities carried out between Transfer Sicilia and the client, will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court of Palermo (Italy).
